Records include correspondence which makes up approximately 70 per cent of the collection (1942-1960), financial papers, histories of the branch, meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, and various reports from 1942 until 1960. There are also autobiographical sketches of women artists in North Dakota, and branch records for its project to compile a directory of North Dakota artists. The file includes its publication, "North Dakota artists and craftsmen" (1952), a list of paintings by Elmer Halvorson of Wheelock N.D., and a draft manuscript, "North Dakota and the arts of design," dated 1942 and apparently done by the American Association of University Women in North Dakota.
